part is stamped 33c z - window locks say harcar - part looks like #385 channel balancer -

I'm not sure what you have, unfortunately. We have dozens of different balances with that stamp. It's not a product code or anything, it just indicates the strength of the spring.

I recommend watching the video below. That should allow you to confirm if the Series 385 is the proper replacement or not.

These pictures are perfect, thank you. The depth of your shoe appears to be 1" from these photos, but the balance you initially picked out, the Series 385, has a shoe depth of 1-3/32". It's not always easy to confirm measurements from just a photo of tape measure but if I'm right then you want our Series 380 instead.
