have stanley steel door 32" x 75" x 1.75" thick steel door with model 58-008 weather stripping.

Question

My weather stripping on the magnetic top and side measures 1/2" wide and
compressed thickness measures 1/2". This differs from your dimensioned
drawing. What would your recommendation be.

13/32" is very close to 1/2". Considering Stanley doors often use our 58-008, I think it's possible your old sample is just a little smushed.
