I have provided pictures of this channel balance. It is 24 inchesd long. and as pictured has the labeling " 23 2 CR CALDWELL" printed on the side.

Hi there David.

Thank you for reaching out to us. We can help with this. Before we make a recommendation, can you also show us a photo of the inside of the balance's metal channel where the innerspring connects to the pulley mechanism? That'd be located in the middle of the channel.

Hope this photo is what you are looking for

Thank you,

This is perfect, thanks so much! Based on the photos you've given us, I recommend our S380-24 or S385-24 channel balances with the 2320 stamp option. The best match will depend on the depth of the bottom shoe so you'll have to measure as shown below.

We also have a video detailing the replacement process for this type of balance. I'll post that below.

Should channel balances be replaced in pairs even when only one is broken?

Yes, that's correct! We always recommend you replace the balances in pairs. Pairing a new balance with an old one would only cause the newer balance to wear out much faster as it'd have to pick up the slack for its older counterpart.

Thank you for your kind words! We're very happy we could be of help. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any future hardware repairs!
