I broke the handle off one just like this and I think I have read that I will need to replace the entire awning window mechanism, but I hope not.

Hi there!

I'm afraid the lever type handle isn't designed to be replaced which means you would need a new assembly. I recommend taking a look at our 39-037, 39-069 and 39-070. Carefully review the specifications for each and compare them with yours to see if one matches up to your old assembly.
