Hello, Maureen. I'm not sure what door you have so I'm afraid that I cannot confirm if the 40-165 can work. I can only tell you that this is a generic hinge kit that is compatible with many different storm doors, but in my experience not all. I'd have to see a picture of your existing hinge to make a judgement.
