hole location for 24" shower sweep

A home owner from Maryland, USA says:
The diagram says that the ends holes are 4" in from ends. How many holes are there and locations? Also if need be is it difficult to drill new holes? Would I need a specific drill bit?

Hello,

It sounds like you may be referring to the 10-324 shower sweep with drip rail, which has installation holes 4" from the ends of the rail as shown below.

You can certainly drill new installation holes in the rail but the correct drill bit would depend on the screw size you use in your door now. I believe it could be a #6 x 3/8" screw, which would require a 7/64" drill bit. Be careful when drilling that you don't damage the door or glass.

Also, please note that our drip rail sweeps can also be installed using double sided waterproof adhesive. You may find that to be easier than drilling new holes, plus double stick tape can be found at many hardware stores.
