how to detach operator arms from window

my window appears to have a 39-312 operator but i do not know how to detach the arms from the window

You should be able to slide the shoes out from the ends of the track. Where exactly are you running into problems?

I needed to remove the screw that held the track to the window so the shoe could slide out
