how to remove the support?

Hi, first, I think I put the coil in correctly into the shoe? The video online doesn't show this step... seemed simple enough though.

More importantly, I cannot remove my old support from the window. There's no space for me to do this... am I supposed to cut out a space by hand? Or am I not wiggling this out properly?

Hey Andrew. Yes, this does look properly assembled--the tongue of the coil spring notches into those holes on top of the 15-191 shoe. You are also correct, you'll need to form a 'cutout' in the window to extract the old hardware and insert the new assemblies. The video below shows how to do this for a similar coil balance system.
