inside insert for tilt spiral

A quick learner from Courtland, VA says:
Spiral tilt window balancers are shot. At the top of the tube is an inside insert that was held in place by the open metal rivet where the end of the spiral slips into. This was made of plastic.

Do your units have a metal collar, or a plastic collar?

28-3/4 length (29" replacement); 3/8" diameter.
Tip color is very light green

We offer a 3/8" metal tube spiral tilt balance, the S900-29, with a green nylon bearing tip and a 29" tube. Please compare size to see if this will work for you.
A quick learner from Courtland, VA says:
The question was: Are there metal inserts in the TOP of the tube. The insert has a vertical slot where the top of the spiral (which is straight, not twisted) slips into. The top of the insert has a hole where the set screw goes through and holds the insert in place.

Paul from SWISCO responded:
There is no metal insert in the top screw-way of our Series 900 balance, because the balance tubes are already metal.
