installation of 39-069

I was inquiring about the 39-069. Would like to know if this cover needs to be removed in order to install? If not, could you please offer some detailed instruction on how this item is installed into the window?

Are you referring to the wooden sill trim? If so, then I believe so, yes. I've always had to remove it in my experience, though I suppose it's possible there are some windows where it's not necessary. See the video below for insight on how best to remove your sill trim.
