interior latch needs a lock

Home Owner from Madisonville KY
Can this interior latch have a deadbolt added or the latch replaced with one that has it? If so, which part do you recommend?

We did carry your inside handle at one time, but I'm afraid that it was discontinued and is no longer available. Take a look at the newer style 40-130 handle see. It should match up to the same hole pattern as your original at 1-3/4" on center, but double check just to be sure.

Thank you. The hole spacing on the door is 1-3/4" -- good so far. But, my door is hinged opposite of your pictures for style 40-130. Does that mean the inside piece will have to be flipped and the deadbolt will be above the handle? Do you sell separate handle sets for each swing direction?

Yes, you do want to flip the handles but that won't mean the deadbolt will be above the handle. The inside latch and deadbolt are two individual pieces that install on the same plate. You flip each one over in its place. Does that make sense?
