interlocking metal weather stripping

I am looking for the fabric, felt or rubber that fits into the grove in this type of old weather stripping. The channel is a quarter inch deep by 3/8" wide. If their is nothing that would fit do you have any suggestions as to what could be used. The portion of the interlock that is connected to the frame of the opening fits into a groove in the molding. Is their any type of stripping that would work if I remove what is currently there?
