stainless steel screws ( 1/2 inch ?) are needed , the fastener seem to be very weak.

Thanks for posting! This looks like our S795-20, but with the bottom shoe swapped out for our 15-224. You can purchase both parts separately and swap them out yourself, it's very easy. See the video below for more information.

Our balances do not come with screws but you can take your old ones in to a local hardware store to have them match up whatever size you need in stainless steel.
