jamb Spreader

Question

Hi, I am replacing pivot shoes on 20 to 25 year old windows.  Is thee any issues with using this Jamb Spreaker on that old of window? Some of these windows are in diirect sunlight.  I do not want to break the window frame.  What would you do?  Would you just cut it out?

I would cut it out. The vinyl will be brittle, and the jamb spreaders are liable to crack it. See the video to the right for information.
