jeld wen replacement windows part

we replaced our windows with jeld wen window about 15 years ago. One window the piece that the window panels clip into has broken and the window will not go up or down.

the part has a spring in it and that seems to be the part that is broken. Do you have a replacement part. we have had not luck getting info from jeldwen.

It sounds like you're talking about a balance, but I don't know what you have. I'm more than happy to research a possible replacement, though. May we see a photo of the balance in question out of the window? Please make sure to show us an undamaged version; if it's too broken, we won't be able to ID it.

I will probably need more photos after that, but I need to know what to ask for, first. Just something to keep in mind.

yes, it is the long plastic piece that goes up the side of the window box that the panels lock into. I have attached a photo but maybe not the best.

There is one on each side.

This photo doesn't tell me anything, unfortunately. This is just the jamb liner, not the balance itself. If you needed an all new jamb liner, then we won't be able to help; that's not something we can sell. I would recommend contacting the original window manufacturer for assistance. I know you said they haven't been helpful, but they're the only ones who'd be able to get that for you.

It is a complete piece that has the springs inside it. It is one piece that goes down both sides of opening. What do you call it so I may can find it.

As mentioned above, it's called the jamb liner. These aren't something we supply, unfortunately; the window manufacturer may be your only hope.
