lever dimension

The dimension of the lever is 2-3/8, not 2-1/4" does it make that much of a difference?

I don't believe that 1/8" difference will matter. There is a certain amount of play in the linkage of the operator to make up the difference. Just make sure the other dimensions match up, especially the installation holes.
