locking mechanism froze in the open position

Question

We purchased and had installed our sliding glass door part number ALI ADW 1 ASTM 2190 by Lowes, A year after we had the door installed the locking mechanism quit working it froze in the closed position. We called lowe's and had the system replaced.  Today the locking mechanism froze in the open position.  I called Lowe's today. They are being difficult. They told me to get hold of the company directly. I need to know how to get this replaced thank you

Thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry to hear of the trouble you are having with the lock in your door. I am unable to identify the exact lock you'll need using that information, unfortunately. That part number is specific to Lowe's and/or the manufacturer.

To give you a better idea of how you might be able to fix the issue or replace the lock, I'll need to see photos of the existing hardware.
