looking for weatherstripping for my replacement windows

Handy Person from Milford, CT
Hi, I have about 20 casement windows that have eroding weatherstripping on the outerfacing sides. I tried to look at what you have in stock, but nothing seems quite as big in profile for the actual foam stripping. the old weatherstripping seems to be foam filled, although near the ends/miter corners, most of that foam has crumbled out and it's just an empty hose. You can see from the pics, that this weatherstripping actually extends beyond the footprint of the window by a good 3/8" all around.

looking forward to your feedback!

Thanks for reaching out! There is a chance that we can provide you with a replacement recommendation for the bubble seal you're searching for but I'll need a bit more information to confirm.

To start, may I see a photo of an undamaged end of the seal, removed from the window? I'll need to see it removed from the channel in the window so that I can see the shape of it as well as how it mounts to the window.

Thanks for getting back to us. Jasmine isn't here today but I will do my best to advise.

I recognize the foam seal you show in these photos and can verify that it is discontinued. To my knowledge it hasn't been made in some years. The only product we offer that may replace is it our 58-170B, but I've had mixed reports as to its efficacy. Some customers have told me it works fine, while others have said that the kerf isn't large enough. It seems to be a coin flip.

I really can't say for sure if it will work in your case, unfortunately, but it does remain our sole option. Look it over and see what you think.
