How do you retrieve a replacement lock on a sliding glass door when it falls into the opening ?

Unfortunately there's no feasible way to get a mortise lock out of a door if it's fallen into the frame. Not without doing a lot of damage to the door, anyway. Fortunately, this problem occurs with one specific lock a lot in particular--our 82-218. Look it over and see if you think this matches your old lock. If so, you can use this as a replacement.
