metal 1960's bi-fold doors - no markings

A handy person from Cincinnati says:

Hello, Paul, Sr,

I would like to repaint my metal bi-fold doors. We did this once, 20 years ago, when we first moved in to our 1964 era ranch home. My Dad, expert problem solver, helped us with that project, but he is no longer with us to consult - and I don't remember how we took them off the tracks. Do we unscrew the plastic piece in the track? Or can the spindle be slid out from the post somehow? I would really appreciate your advice, as I'm sure you have knowledge of these things - it seems simple, but is a lot more complicated when you DON'T have the know how!

Thank you so much,

Cyd

Hi, Bob! Although our spindles are not quite the same, the video you sent was very helpful. And now we know where to buy parts if we want to update them! Thank you so much for your consideration and taking the time to help!!! Stay safe!
