metal Plunger Pin Latches

Question

What is the metal of the plunger pins? Being located ~150ft in from the surf, all of the original aluminum pins of my MW Twinseal window screens, on the ocean side, had corroded and seized by the time I bought the place 5 years after being built.

Salt air is tough on any metal product, and the 70-008 is no exception, I'm afraid. Instead of plunger pins, see if you can use just a nylon pin like our 70-195.
