Thanks for the reply.

23-041 has a length of 3 1/4". my assembly has a length of 3 5/8".

How do I determine whether this difference matters or doesn't matter?

I don't think the overall height will come into play. Your roller isn't made anymore and Stanley made the 23-041 specifically to replace it. It's just an older version of what you have now.

If you believe the height will play a factor, then you could consider our 23-225 as a replacement. This is 3-11/16", which is closer to what you have now.
