more dimensions

A professional from Fl says:
What is the smallest dimension from the edge of the wheel to the carriage? Otherwise how low can it ride? Also what is the recommended track for this roller? What should the height and width of the ridge in the track be? Im trying to design a custom sliding door. Do you have 3D models of this roller, if possible i would like to get a step file or iges file of it. Thank you for your help.

Bob from SWISCO responded:

Thanks for posting. The dimension from the wheel to edge of the carriage for the 81-163 is approximately 3/16". I am afraid we don't have any digital files for this roller beyond the dimensions listed on the product page. Since you're doing a custom project too, I should advise that the 81-163, like all of our rollers, was meant to replace an existing market roller, for existing standard doors. Since they weren't really designed with custom projects in mind, I can't really guarantee how these parts will work for you. We do sell universal patio door tracks that work with all our rollers: see our 80-105 and 80-106. Let us know what you think, and good luck with your project!
