mortise latch for the 82-033

A quick learner from Phoenix AZ says:

Good afternoon, we recently ordered a door handle and received it. It is what we needed. However, the handle locking mechanism keeps automatically falling down which locks the door (lots of fun when you are outside and it locks you out). This is not anything wrong with the handle, the inside mechanism that hold the bar is obviously bad. Do you sell the inside section that is slotted?

an I just order the inside mechanism with the slot? It is very old and apparently has become stripped out which is making the locking mechanism drop to the lock position.

Thank you for your post. Based on your photos and inquiry, it sounds like you may be referring a replacement mortise latch. If so, please take a look at both our 82-211 and 82-214. Review the measurements of each one and let us know if either of these would be a match for you.
