I looked up this part on the internet. All measurements fit the lock in my patio door so I ordered the part.
Just received mortise lock Item # 82-269 order # 1446717. The lock is the same physical size as my original.
The problem is: the lock doesn't match up with the fixed attachments it locks to. The latch lever is in the center of the new lock and it is 3/4 inch lower on the original. Also the square latch lever hole does not fit the 3/4 inch long and 1/4 inch wide blade latch lever. Other than physical size, the lock is a complete mismatch.
The faulty mortise lock is circa 2004. Please help.
