mortise lock for sash controls In 060-1255

Hello My sliding door handle has the mortise lock missing. The handle has stamped "Sash Controls Inc 060-1255" on it. I know this company does not exist any more, but I was hoping you would know the right mortise lock to recommend. I do have the handle and the thumb lever just the internal mortise lock missing.

Could our 82-226 mortise lock be a match? Carefully compare it to the hole where it installs to confirm that the dimensions would be the same.

The hole dimensions appear to be very close to what I could measure. The only issue I notice is with the 45 degree keyway for thumb turn needs to be towards the top. Is it a matter of flipping it around when installing?

Yes you might have to flip the mortise lock, yes. If you want, send us some photos of your mortise lock and how it looks in the door.
