mortise lock replacement part

Question

Hi, looking for replacement part for broken latching part on older sliding glass door - unknown age or brand. I'm thinking it may be part 82-238 but would like confirmation. I'm afraid to remove until I have replacement part but the external 9 inch length and 11/16 width seems to match. Also, if that is indeed the part, can you confirm if the part 82-01 is this the handle plus this same internal locking mechanism. Is there a reason to replace the handle if it looks in good shape? Thanks for posting. I agree, the mortise lock is most likely the 82-238. I would remove it from the door to compare the measurements just to be safe, since now and then there's an odd lock with an unusual design. Yes, the 82-081 matches your old handle set, and if it is in working condition there's no reason to replace it. Let me know if you have further questions.
