my 23 year old Cole Sewell storm door mortise lockset mfg by Wright needs replacement

Question

I need to replace my existing lockset but I compared the dimensions of the 40-049 to mine and the faceplate screw hole spacing is greater than on my Wright lockset.
Can I return this 40-049 if it doesn't work in mt storm door?
