Hello! We have a client that needs their window repaired but we are not having luck. The window will not open/close easily, if at all.

Hello,

We'd be happy to help but we would need to see an undamaged channel balance fully removed from the window, including both end attachments. I would also recommend weighing the window sash to make sure that the new balances are calibrated correctly to allow the window to operate smoothly. Thank you!

Great, take a look and compare the S395-27 channel balance to the assembly in your photos. You'll also need a 2630 strength option based on the 26C stamp shown in the original photos. Thanks for posting!

Hi there. I need to order additional parts for the top pain. We previously thought the top pain was fixed but they were actually just seized in place. It appears that the same type of part has failed in the top part of the window. Is it the same part used for this? It appears you have to remove the lower pain to access the upper pain.

If the top sash is the same size as the bottom, there is a good chance that it will use the same balances but I would still suggest removing the sash and one of the balances it uses to confirm. If you notice any differences between the balances used for the top and bottom sash, please send some photos and we'd be happy to confirm the correct replacement for you.
