there are no markings on the original balances. The dimensions are 3/4" wide, 28" length. wings on tops and bottom measure in at 1"

Thanks for reaching out to us. Since the bottom shoe is 1" deep, see the S380-28. Please note that the metal channel is 1/2" wide.

Can you weigh the window sash on a scale and tell us the precise weight? That will help us determine the proper stamp option.

If the window weighs 21lbs would that mean I need the Series 380 2740?

That's correct. A pair of balances with the 2740 stamp will support a sash weighing 19 to 26 pounds.
