need help

Question

The lever lock on the inside of the door malfunctioned while the door was locked. The screws to the handle are not accessible. How can I remove the handle so I can repair OR replace

Thanks for posting! I'm sorry to hear of the trouble with your door. Also, I know that it will be difficult, however, you will need to try your best to access the two installation screws on the side of the handle set. They are on the side of the handle closest to the door frame.

If you cannot get the handle set removed from the door by removing those two screws, I'm afraid the handle set will need to be cut from the door. It is suggested to have a professional do this so that there is no damage caused to the door frame.
