need help identifying which balance i need

A quick learner from california says:
Hi, my sash has a balance on each side and one of them broke. I believe it is the series 385 balance, and it's 20" long. My sash weighs 32.4 pounds, since it has a balance on each side, would each balance need to hold up half the weight or should each side be able to hold the full weight? should i just replace the one side or both?

Tom from SWISCO responded:
Hello! No, you would not divide the weight. Your balance will need to be custom made with a special strength spring. I'm thinking the 1975 stamp, which can hold 30 through 34 pounds. Can you just tell me how many you need?
