need new 20" spiral balances

Thank you. Based on that diameter, and the length, it sounds like you have something close to our S900-20 spiral balance. However, without a window sash weight, I cannot suggest a tip color for you. I will need to know the weight before I can. Can you remove the sash from your window and weigh it? Any common bathroom scale will do.

Thanks for getting back to us. With that in mind, I would go with the red tip. This can support a window sash weight range of 8 through, and including, 21 pounds.

Please keep in mind that the weight range information is based on 2 balances per sash. Balances are designed assuming friction in the jamb weather-strip will carry a portion of the sash weight. Suggested sash weights are approximate.
