This piece has no numbers. It came from dream homes. I had to make cutout to get out after watching your video. This came out of double hung vinyl window. Looks nothing like other side coil as it is all one piece on other side.

Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. We don't sell this exact pivot shoe. The 15-191 is similar though. This is designed to use the S160 coil springs. Take a look and see how the thickness and width compare to yours.

Emily!
The measurements are the same, for the shoe, does it have the top part to go along with it also as mine is worn. The plastic that covers the coil and plastic ring inside coil. The weight for top coil was 18lbs and the bottom was 15lbs. I need all pieces!

Are you saying you have two springs on each side of the window? If the top spring is rated for 18 pounds and the bottom spring is for 15 pounds that would be 33 pounds on each side, totaling 66 pounds of overall support. That's a very heavy window. Can you confirm the weight of the window sash? Can you also measure the band of the old spring and tell us the width?

The weight is for just one side. If you look at picture the top coil is 18lbs and the bottom coil is 15lbs. This sits on one side of window. As the right side broke causing window to not stay up. The top piece took screw out, made a cutout to pull bottom piece out, there was not one made. Does this help.

I'm sorry to say that our springs can't support a sash that heavy. Furthermore, we've never heard of a single spring being calibrated for 18 or 15 pounds. We're happy to look into this, but we'd like you to weigh the sash and tell us the precise weight. Let me know if that's something you can get for us.

I am so sorry! I was wrong. After figuring out what I did wrong ( weighed the coils not the sash), DAH! LOL The sash weight is 12lbs. That mean I need a 6 weight for each side, correct? If so I have question? Both sides of sash, the coil parts, are not same, well kind of but not, I took picture of other side. This picture shows bend between the coils. The other side look back at 1st picture does not have that. With that said, Why are they not the same? Does it matter?

If the sash weight is 12 pounds, you can use one S160-06 6.5-pound spring on each side. This totals 13 pounds of overall support which should be fine so long as the coil spring weights are with a pound of the sash's weight. For a new spring support, see the 15-150S.

As for your question, the spring shown in this photo here appears to have snapped and uncoiled which is why it looks different from the intact coil spring in your original photo.
