Thanks for your patience during this busy season. The order number you gave me, #3174215, appears to be for a custom channel balance made with our 19-037 top and 15-005 bottom. Is this what you would like to replicate for all four sizes given?
If so, there are a couple of issues that we need to address before we can move forward. The 31" 3030 and the 30" 2930 are typical so there's no problems there, but I need to talk about the other two.
Starting with the 28-1/2" 2830, can you please verify the precise weight of the sash that these balances support? We can provide a balance in this size, but because it's so atypical a sash weight is required. Please be as precise as possible.
Regarding the 33-1/4" long 3230, can you kindly verify the length of the metal channel? We actually can't supply any balance with a length that ends in 1/4". That's not possible for us to supply, so I strongly recommend triple checking that length just to be safe.
Lastly, can you tell me how many of each size you need?
the 28-1/2" 2830, can you please verify the precise weight of the sash that these balances support? We can provide a balance in this size, but because it's so atypical a sash weight is required. how do i fight out the weight. if it helps. all the windows seem identical but i noticed some of the rods were different sizes.
on the 33 1/4 its 33 inches .
on the rods, i would need one or 2 of each , or more. i still need to do the count.
also some of the rods seem fine, but could use the plastic end to be replaced.
thanks for all the help . let me know i can order in a day or so thanks ed
Hello! You can determine the weight by placing the sash on a scale. Any common bathroom scale will do. I also appreciate you double checking the length on that 33" balance for me. That's going to make your life a lot easier.
If you only need to replace the plastic fittings on some of these balances, then that will certainly save you a lot of trouble. We have a video that shows you how this can be done, and the method works with both the 19-037 and 15-005. You'll need a 62-005 rivet for each fitting, along with a 75-075 rivet installation tool.
Once you can get me that sash weight then I'll email you a quote containing all 4 sizes requested. If you wanted to remove any from that quote, just let me know either now or after I send it.
The sash is the glass panel that the balances support. We need to know how much it weighs so that we can properly determine how strong the springs need to be.
Thanks! Please give me a little time to look into the availability of this size and strength option and I'll get back to you ASAP.
The purchase link went through on our end, but we recommend checking your spam/junk folder if you don't see it in your inbox. If you still haven't received it, please let us know.
No problem, Ed. I'm happy we could help. We'll be here if you need anything else.
