Hello,

Unforutnately, the old-style crossbow balance shown in your photo is no longer available but we can supply suitable replacements. To get started, you'll need to remove an intact balance from one of your windows to show us and determine the exact length of the balance. Based on your red fitting, In suspect that your spring measures 3/8" in diameter but you'll need to confirm that measurement as well. We'll also need to know the exact weight of the window sash that the balances support. Lastly, please confirm the number of balances that you need, with the minimum being two. Thank you!

Good evening, yes it has been a while lol, but finally got the measurements.

The spring is 3/8"

The length of the spring itself is 14-1/2".

From top of spring to bottom of shoe is measuring 16-1/2"

Does this help answer what we are needing?

I think 2 pair of these would be good.

Thanks,

Joe

Thanks for getting back to us. We can supply your replacement balances but it will need to be a custom order due to the diameter of the spring. Note that the replacements will come with the 15-230 T-lock shoe attached.

Dimensions for 15-230
Dimensions for 15-230

Now we'll just need to confirm the exact weight of the window sash the balances support in order to send over an order link and price quote.

Will that shoe fit the same as the one in the picture that I sent?

What's the best way to measure the weight of the sash? it's a 32" x 36" sash, Non Tempered

We often recommend the 15-230 and 3/8" wide balance channels to replace the assembly shown in your photos.

As for the sash, you'll need to remove it and place it on a bathroom scale to confirm the weight.

Thanks for getting back to us. Unfortunately, the weight capacity for these balances maxes out at 14D strength options, which will support a sash between 16-18 pounds. I'm sorry we won't be able to offer replacements that will support the weight of your sash but please let us know if you have any other hardware questions.

we weighed it again and think we will be okay with your product,
can you tell me how to go about purchasing it?

Sure, we'll just need one more piece of information before we can send over an order link and price quote. Please confirm if the top of your balance attaches to the window jamb using a hook or screw clip. If you want to be on the safe side, we could also start by sending you a link for two balances if you want to confirm they work before placing a larger order. Just let us know how you'd like to proceed.

We're almost ready to send your link but we'll need to confirm if your balance attaches to the window jamb using a hook or screw clip first, as well as the quantity.

screw is at the top and the balance connects to it,
thanks!

Great, now we just need to confirm if you'd like to stick with 4 balances or start with two for now since they are non-refundable.

Quick Learner from Norcross GA
let's do two then,
