need to identify balances before ordering

the balances are for non folding windows I have attached photos the number on the balances is 2230 Q they measure 1/2 inch wide by 24 1nches long including the plastic ends the house was built in 1986 and these are most likely the original windows i can find no labels on the windows identifying the manufacture

I think you should start with our Series 380 channel balance. The bottom shoe is a little different, but we do not have anything closer. Look it over and tell me what you think.

recieved my window parts today and the 380 was not correct the plastic shoe at the bottom was too wide and wouldnt allow the window to go down all the way so i couldnt latch it any suggestions on what other balance may be correct

Thanks for getting back to us. I'm afraid options at this point are limited. The Series 380 comes with the 15-005, which is the smallest possible shoe available on the market at 1" deep. If yours is even smaller than that, the only option I can think of that may work is to file the shoe down a little to size.
