need to order broken balance shoes and tilt latches

A home owner from Omaha NE says:
Trying to determine which balance shoes we need and also some tilt latches. The balance measures 27 inches and the top string is put in with a screw. The balance has 26-5 on it and also letters TH and BSIN. Patent # on plastic shoe is 6679000. Square part of tilt latch measures 2 5/16" by 11/16 wide. We think it is shoe # 15-195. We can find no numbers on the snap in tilt latch.
Thanks
Rod

Hi, Rod.

Based on what I see here, I recommend our S795-27 channel balance. This comes with the 15-195 closed cam T-lock shoe by default but you'll need to purchase our 15-195B open cam T-lock shoe separately and swap them. These shoes just pop right off and on, it's very easy! Your 26-5 stamp may correspond to our 27E strength option but you can always weigh your sash on a scale to confirm it falls within the 26 to 30 pound weight range.

As for the latch, start by comparing your dimensions to our 26-393B to see if this matches up.

A home owner from Omaha NE says:
Emily,
The T-lock balances are what broke. Do I need new channel balances if they are ok, and just order open cam t-locks? The tilt latch measurements are correct. If I need to order the channel balances that's ok.
Thanks Rod

If your shoe is the only thing that broke, you can just replace that with our 15-195B. However, your T-lock shoe breaking is often a sign that the balances aren't too far behind so it may be a good idea to replace the whole assembly. The decision is ultimately yours!
