Question

Having trouble determining if existing door has removable track cap. Can you confirm if it appears appropriate to plan on simply adding a 1/4" track cap over existing track (or if an old one needs to be removed). Thank you!  Doug

I'm not sure what your question is. There is no way for me to tell if you have a track cover or not, I'm afraid. Some companies like Andersen automatically add the stainless track cover over their aluminum rail. If you have that, you would first remove the old cap and snap on a new cap like our 80-102. Otherwise you just kind of have to look at it closely. One little thing you should keep in mind is that the aluminum rail will be dull while a stainless steel cover will be shiny.
