new handle

Home Owner from Uniontown, PA

Our lock snapped off the inside part of our sliding door handle. I think we just need to install a new handle. The only kind of item number I can find is ADW-8 ASTM 2190-ARG. Please let me know if you have any suggestions on the part(s) we need.

Thank you,

Mike

Hello, Mike! If the only thing that broke is the thumb lever, then you can use our 82-107 to repair it. I am very confident this will work for you, but look it over and see what you think.

Hi, I also need to replace the latch of my Jeld-Wen glass sliding door but found that your 82-107 has slightly different measurements per your drawing than my broken one. For one, my latch is 2-1/8" and 82-107 is 1-7/8" long. In addition, my lever pin is 7/8" and 82-107 is 1-3/8" long. Will that be a problem? Is there a closer one to my one for purchase? Your input will be much appreciated.

Thanks, Michael

The length of the lever itself isn't a big deal, but our lever pin being so long is going to cause issues. If I were you, I would try to reuse the original pin (assuming that it's not damaged). If not then you will need to use a bench vice and hacksaw to cut our lever pin down to size. Just note that any product altered in this way cannot be returned for a refund.

I just wanted to say that the 82-107 worked absolutely perfect for me. I was thinking I needed to completely replace my handle. I am definitely not the handiest of guys, but the video instructions were spot on and very easy to follow. Thanks a ton for the product.
