new weather seal needed for our patio door

Home Owner from SE Michigan

Hi, i am wondering if you can identify what kind of weather seal I need to replace the one that is 23 years old.

In between the doble glass pannels i can read the following:

WS 1000 CBA or GBA?

03/ I G MAC WS MED

Let me know if need more photos, and if so, of what part of the door.

Thank you!

Hello there. It look like a number of your photos did not come thru. Nevertheless, we will actually need some more information and photos from you in order to determine what is currently being used in your windows. Please remove a portion of the weatherseal from the window and send us photos from an end profile like the diagram below.

If you could also send us over some detailed measurement and dimensions, we will do our best to find what you need.

Here are five images that we took by un-mounting the weather stripping. There is a part missing in it, it is a flap that is about a 1/4 of an inch and it is curved. Most of this curved flap is gone in the pieces we have. See image #4, here you can see from one side this curved piece.

Image #4 has this curved flap as it is inside the house and the most protected from the elements.

Image #1, you can see that the weatherstripping covers a piece of wood that is one inch thick. 1/4 of that wood is exposed, that 1/4 inch goes inside the molding of the frame of the patio door. See # 3. We would be reusing the wood inside the weather stripping.

I could do a drawing of what the profile might look like when the weather stripping is complete. Let me know if that would be helpful to you.

Thank you for your patience and help in identifying this piece.

I think we will need two pieces 78 inches long and one for the top across that is 69.5 inches long.

Thank you, Veronica

PS: Let me know that you can see all 5 images. Thank you

I'm afraid that I don't recognize this type of "U" shaped weatherseal. The numbers given was for the insulted glass, as well, not the door itself.

You might have to take it to a local millwork. They might be able to get the weather seal for you, or at least recognize the door manufacturer. I'm sorry we cannot be of more help.
