(old) Wright storm door latch replacement

A home owner from new york says:
inside latch on (very) old outside storm door broke. Tried to replace with standard latch from Home Depot but the one version they sold would not go through the pre-drilled three holes already in door. The newer model latch was slightly smaller. I just want a replacement (and do not want to adjust holes in metal door.) Pictures of holes in door, old inside latch and old outside latch included.

You have an older colonial style handle similar to our 40-034K. The top 3 holes should match yours at 1-3/4" on center. However, you might need to drill for the bottom mounting hole on the handle. The 40-034K from the center of the top hole to the bottom of the handle hole is 5-1/2" on centers.
