operation of the window crank does not close window

Quick Learner from Southport NC
I have a "crank" operating window that I cannot close after opening.
I am looking for the proper fix, possible a replacement crank.
Thanks Tim

Hey, Tim. It definitely sounds like you need a new operator. We should be able to help but I'll need some photos of what you have now before I recommend anything.

Seeing your operator out of the window entirely would be the most helpful. That will cut down on a lot of back-and-forth since it will just show me the whole mechanism right away and I can get to work finding a match instead of asking for more information. Let me know if that will be possible.

Thanks! It appears the worm gear stripped, which is the part you circled in the first photo. This cannot be repaired or replaced so you'll need a new operator.

I can't see the whole thing in your picture but I think our 39-031 and 39-032 are a good place to start. Carefully review the photos and dimensions we show for these products and let me know how well they compare.
