part identification request : non-tilt window channel balance / 1/2" wide / for downstairs

Hi Swisco,

We'd like to purchase some replacement channel balances / 1/2" wide / for our non-tilt windows downstairs - and we were hoping you could help us identify the product code for the specific channel balance that we would need to purchase.

The numbers/markings printed on our old balance are : 26-5 HL5 CMC 43

Hi Swisco,

Having just submitted a part identification request for our downstairs window balances - we have a separate request to identify the product code for the replacement balances we'll need for our non-tilt window upstairs.

These old channel balances are also a 1/2" wide - with the numbers/markings printed on them being : 26-6 AP5 CMC 7

Hello there!

Thank you for reaching out to us. We can help supply the balances shown here. However, they must be a custom order due to the special blue connecting clip that connects the spring to the pulley mechanism. Can you measure the bottom shoe as shown below and tell me what you find? How many balances are you looking to order?

Hi Emily,

For our DOWSTAIRS window balances - with numbers/markings : 26-5 HL5 CMC 43 - the depth of the shoe is : 1.06"

For our UPSTAIRS window balances - with numbers/markings : 26-6 AP5 CMC 7 - the depth of the shoe is also : 1.06"

For both the DOWNSTAIRS and UPSTAIRS balances - the shoes share the same measurements.

For additional measurements - respective photos have been attached.

While it's not clear to us if the same balances can be used for both the DOWNSTAIRS windows and UPSTAIRS windows - the number of balances we'll need to order is two for the UPSTAIRS window and four for the DOWNSTAIRS - so a total of six balances.

Also - would you be able to help us identify the product code for the part displayed in the attachment : "window-side-top.png"

Thank you for the additional photos and information! We recommend you stick with the original stamps and balances each window was designed to use. With that said, I'm going to email you a purchase link for (4) balances with the 26-5 stamp and (2) with the 26-6 stamp. You can use this to place an order on our website. Please note that there is a 5-6 week lead time as well.

As for the top sash guide, we don't have an exact match but the 18-009, 18-166, and 18-188 are similar. Review the specifications and see how they compare with your old hardware. Note that this isn't included in the link so don't forget to add the needed quantity to your cart separately.
