Question

I need both shoes, coils, and triple supports for a bottom sash. The removed coils are marked 5,6,6 that should I believe equate to a the weight value of a 34lb sash, but I put the sash on the bathroom scale and it reads 40lbs. I presently have items sitting in the cart, but would appreciate verification of which parts to order prior to placing the order. Hello,

We believe you have a similar style pivot shoe to our 15-191, which usually works with the Series 160 coil spring. Your spring looks different, though. Instead of installing in the shoe with tabs, it hooks in that little prong there. I think you could still use our 15-191 and Series 160 though, you would just have to replace the balances on both sides.

If your sash weighs exactly 40 pounds, you can use two of the S160-10 coils on each side of the window. Thank you!
