I need is the screw down knob/lock for brass casement stays. Is it possible to buy the part separately, or do I have to replace the stay?

Thanks for posting! I'm sorry to say that I do not quite understand the request. Would you be able to provide photos of the hardware in question?
Please feel free to reach out with any other questions.

Sure.
A picture of a casement stay is attached. I have a number of them without the screw down knob. Without the round, knurled knob, the stays don't work. I'd like to replace the knobs, rather than having to replace the whole stay, but it looks like the stays can't be broken down to their component parts for purposes of repair.

Thank for providing the photo! The hardware you are searching for is our 39-077 Casement Window Adjuster made for wood windows. I'm sorry to say that we do not sell any of the compatible hardware for it separately, you would need to purchase the entire set.
Take a look over the dimensions and design to confirm that this is the right fit for your repairs.
