Hello there. The Legance 3 brand is generally associated with our 82-080 Handle Set. However, the distance between the screw holes that mount this handle set to the door are 4-15/16" apart. Handle sets that have this distance at 3-15/16", such as our 82-030, work with entirely different locking mechanisms. To be safe, it might be best to send me a picture of your door's mortise lock. That will confirm it either way.
These photos are a huge help, thank you. Seeing the way it installs, I think our 82-080 is definitely going to be our best option. There are just a few concerns.
My hope is that even if your holes are 3-15/16", you could need to drill new holes and just mount our handle using those. Theoretically that would still work, but only if the existing mortise lock can take the same square "stem" off the thumb lever. Look it over and see what you think.
Thanks for getting back to us. The 82-080 would be our best replacement option based on your photos and your thumb latch does appear to have the same shape and orientation as ours. As long as the dimensions below match, I see no obvious reason why it wouldn't work with your mortise lock. With that being said, you would need to make new installation holes in the door to accommodate the 4-15/16" hole spacing of the 82-080.
