our latch measure 6 inches. do you have one that is that length? its identical to your

The overall length of the mortise face doesn't really matter. What matters most is the distance between the two installation holes, center-to-center. That's what the 5-3/8" dimension is on our 82-227. What is that same dimension on your lock?
