patio sliding door lock

My sliding door patio lock needs to be replaced. The locking mechanism is not opening or closing properly. The latch doesn't properly open or close the lock. The Door lock is 9.25" long. Can you please advise what latch/lock I would need to replace it with? Thanks!

Start by looking at our 82-239. Look over the dimensions and see if you think this would work as a replacement.

Hi. Thanks for the suggestion, however the dimensions are different when measuring. I have taken a picture with a measurement tape. Please advise if there is a better fit. Thank you.

The 82-239 is still the closest match I am afraid. Is the mounting hole spacing (9-7/8") and depth of the lock the same? If so, it might still work if you replace it along with the keeper, but I can't say for certain. You can always try it, and in the event it doesn't work, use our Return Policy here.

Hi, I was able to uninstall the lock and make more accurate measurements. Please see attached photos. Sounds like the one you've suggested is a close match. Would I need any additional hardware? Will my existing handle still work? Thanks.

If your existing handle set and its thumb lever are undamaged, they should work fine with the 82-239. If you did need a new handle set, see our 82-030.
