I possibly need a shorter version of the 83-115 Pella latch

My latch looks similar to your Product Code 83-115, but I think my handle is shorter. Will your replacement part work on my screen door? Does the handle length make a difference? Think I also need a Pella screen protector.

I think our 83-115 looks like a good match. Exactly how much shorter is your own hardware?

As you can see from the photo, it's about 1-3/16" from the end of the handle to where it meets the main body. Think the rest of the latch is same as the 83-115 latch but can't tell since the broken part was lost. Trying to determine if a latch with a longer handle will work in my Pella screen door.

It's possible that our 83-115 can work, but I can't say for sure. I can look into a shorter version for you.

While I'm searching, though, can you confirm that the rest of the dimensions are the same? Can you also tell me the total length, from tip to tip? You'll need the part that has broken off in order to get that.
